About the role
As product manager, you will be responsible for conducting user research, collaborating with cross-functional teams like design, engineering, and marketing, and ultimately owning the product roadmap for one of our squads. This role demands exceptional communication and analytical skills, coupled with the ability to lead and manage various aspects of the product development lifecycle.
Core Responsibilities:
Work directly with the Head of Product in defining and executing our product vision
Interview & survey our users to understand their jobs-to-be-done and pain points
Identify opportunities where we can better serve our users and co-create solutions alongside Design, Engineering and Marketing to deliver initiatives that drive the squads OKRs
Design A/B tests to validate key assumptions for hypotheses
Create and be fully accountable for the delivery of the product roadmap for 1 of our 3 squads
Represent the squad at cross-squad meetings and present at weekly showcase
Continuously evaluate ideas (using validation, data and experiments) and prioritise the backlog using our prioritisation framework to achieve the squad’s OKRs
Use basic wireframing to effectively communicate ideas to your squad
Other responsibilities include:
leading agile ceremonies (including retros)
creating wireframes and scoping documents
managing the Jira scrum board
interfacing with all functions required in the delivery – marketing, dev, QA, etc
What You’ll Need:
Years of experience: +3 years as a Product Manager and +3 years in an adjacent role (such as product design, developer, business analyst, innovation consultant, or have run your startup)
Previous experience working on a DeFi project or contributing to an open-source project
Passion for crypto / DeFi / web3
Proficiency with modern product practices and testing principles including:
CDH – T Torres
Lean Startup – E Ries
Sprint – GV
Osterwalder
High data literacy, including one of the following:
Advanced SQL
Python/R/Matlab/SAS/Minitab/Node/Scala/Spark/Java for data analysis
Expert Excel including INDEX-MATCH
High Product sense. You have:
Led the launch of a product with:
Greater than 40k WAU
In Web3, fintech or gaming
A portfolio of personal projects to demonstrate a passion for product development
Deep experience in experimental design and statistics
Understanding of UI/UX design and ability to wireframe using Figma
Concrete examples where you have used a wide range of product validation techniques and the key decisions made at each iteration
