We’ve joined forces with Sandbox, one of the world’s biggest metaverse ecosystems. And to celebrate this partnership, we’ve launched twin competitions.
- We’re offering prizes of 500 DVF for users who trade $SAND, the native Sandbox token, using our DEX between now and October 23.
- The Sandbox team are offering a top prize of 6,000 $SAND tokens (currently worth $5,000) for anyone who creates the coolest rhino-themed NFT.
Why we’re going into the Metaverse with Sandbox
We’ve already opened a gateway to multi-chain by establishing outposts on the coolest chains in DeFi. Now we want to open up the full possibilities of web3, and the Metaverse is our next frontier.
The Metaverse already has more than 400 million active users, and that number’s growing. Fast. By 2026, analysts predict that one in every four people on the planet will be using the Metaverse at least an hour a day.
In the Metaverse, you can interact with people all over the world in ways which were impossible in web2. You can shop and trade, watch concerts, build companies and establish communities without borders or barriers.
By enabling users to buy metaverse tokens like $SAND, we are providing a passport to this virtual world via our DEX. And, in Sandbox, we’ve found a project that shares our vision for universal access.
Just as rhino.fi allows newer users to make cross-chain swaps for the first time, so Sandbox enables entry-level creators to develop new games and NFTs.
How to enter the rhino.fi competition
There’s a pot of 5,000 DVF for users who trade $SAND tokens using our cross-chain function during the competition period, which runs from today (October 7) until 11.59pm UTC (23.59) on October 23.
The pot will be split equally between 10 participant wallets, selected at random, once the competition closes. Winners will be informed by Twitter or Discord on November 6.
To enter the competition participants must:
- Hold an account on rhino.fi (or create one during the competition period).
- Must swap at least $50 worth of SAND tokens during the competition, and hold at least $50 of SAND by its end.
- Follow both rhino.fi & The Sandbox on Twitter.
- Join the rhino.fi Discord.
- Confirm participation via this form.
How to enter the Sandbox competition
To create your own rhino-themed NFT, you must use Sandbox’s VoxEdit software, which allows users of all technical abilities to create Metaverse-ready designs. You must follow both the rhino.fi and the Sandbox Twitter accounts to be eligible.
The competition is running in parallel with our own initiative, from October 10 to 23 inclusive.
The Sandbox team have created a total pot of 15,000 SAND, which will be split the following ways:
- 1st place: 6,000 SAND.
- 2nd place: 3,500 SAND.
- 3rd place: 2,000 SAND.
- 4th to 10th place: each receives 500 SAND.
